Mod de Spider-Man attracts attention to being homophobic
With the arrival of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered A PC, it was more than obvious that the mods would not wait. Although it is currently possible to find hundreds of work where the models of the characters change, or new content is included, there is a particular mod that has caught the attention, but this for the worst possible reasons .
Recently, a mod in Nexus mod, known as Non-Newtonian New York, was found, which was created by the user who responds to the name of Mike Hawk. Although at the first instance it seems that nothing has changed, there is a particular element that has been substantially modified, and the community has enraged. This is the flags of the LGBTQ+community.
Throughout the game, you can find hundreds of flags of the LGBTQ+ community in different buildings. However, the Non-Newtonian New York mod replaces these support samples, with normal United States flags. As expected, the community reacted negatively, and even Nexus Mod took action on the matter, completely eliminating this mod.
Along with this, it was revealed that Mike Hawk’s two profiles were also eliminated from the site. However, during the period in which this mod was available, more than 300 people downloaded it, and even some took the opportunity to issue messages against the LGBTQ+community.
In related issues, it is already possible to play Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered in Xbox Series x | s. Similarly, it seems that marvel’s spider-man 2 could have co-op.

It doesn’t hurt to say it, but this type of mods does not have to exist. Spider-Man is a character that supports all New York citizens, and that includes members of the LGBTQ+community. Hopefully this is the first and last mod of this type.
