FC Bayern: Nagelsmann criticism after Sanes Frust

Leroy Sané was supposed to give FC Bayern’s game against FSV Mainz in the second half. Instead, the national player went down with the team. After the game, he made headlines with a frustration. Coach Julian Nagelsmann took him into protection, but also expressed criticism.
A week after the public stay of Bayern games director Hasan Salihamidzic, the hoped -for reaction from Leroy Sané failed to do so. In the 1: 3 defeat of FC Bayern in Mainz, the national player, which had substituted in the break, delivered one of his weakest seasonal services (Bayern game grade 5.5). The statistics for the 26-year-old, who also initiated the third goal with his loss of ball with his loss of ball, was a goal shot and a duel rate of 22 percent (seven out of nine).
After the final whistle, Sané also let his frustration run free: the offensive man disappeared into the cabin without detours, giving up clapping with his teammates and the mandatory walk to his own fans.
While Sané’s departure externally caused discussions and headlines, Julian Nagelsmann did not want to go too hard with his player at the subsequent PK. “Of 100 professionals, 50th and 50 do it out. Every person deals with such situations differently,” the coach Sané’s frustration did not want to hang too high.

However, quiet criticism swung in the words of the coach. Basically, Nagelsmann added, be it better “to go to the fans in the curve. That is part of the profession. But just as every fan has his character, every player also has that”. You don’t have to put “everything on the gold scale”.
Especially in the case of Sané, Bayern are looking closely. This was made clear by Bayern games director Hasan Salihamidzic on his TV appearance last weekend. There the Bosnian asked his player: “We always speak of potential. And I would like to see potential on the pitch.” Sané did not meet this weekend.
