Turkey Senol G nes as a national coach released
The Turkish Association TFF has separated from national coach Senol Günes. This officially announced the TFF on Friday. The separation was consensual , the association said. Günes’s say goodbye is the result of a whole series of bad results of the Turkish national team.
The 69-year-old former Besiktas coach had taken over Turkey in March 2018 and then first achieved good results. Last, however, the team weakened significantly and disappointed mainly at the European Championship. After three defeats in three group games was early terminus for the Günes troupe traded as a secret favorite.
Even in the World Cup qualifier, it is no longer running around. Most recently, among other things, there was a disappointing 2: 2 at home against Montenegro and a 1: 6 pack in the Netherlands. In the Group G, Turkey now occupies third place behind Oranje and Norway.
